I’ve never owned an inflatable yard decoration in my life. But my seven year old daughter has that effect on people.

Kitchen Renovation Week 5,673 (Sike, I think it’

Kitchen Renovation Week 5,673 (Sike, I think it’s only been like 8 weeks so far?) Whew y’all. What a job this has been. As per usual, I suck at regular updates so I’ve lost track of all the details of this kitchen remodel. I’m in survival mode at this point. It’s been a revolving door of Plumbers and Electricians and Sheetrockers and Painters and hardwood guys lacing in floors. We are acting as our own GC on this project with a little bit of DIY. My awesome husband assembled all the cabinets and we hired a guy to install them so they are perfectly level. This weekend we got a bit of DIYing done on the back of the kitchen island. I had a very specific look that I wanted but I think we nailed it. My Facebook Marketplace super cheap copper hood is just sitting on the cabinets to see if I liked the fake rock as a backsplash. I think (hope) I can mortar smear the rock and get the look I’m going for. 🤔 There are still a million details left to go and I’m praying we will meet my deadline of the first day of school in mid August. Hopefully countertops are going in next week because all the other trades are waiting on those before final install. Y’all send good vibes please. 🤞
