Peppermint Oreo Shake – Homemade Milkshakes Made Simple
Did y’all know that I worked at Dairy Queen when I was in high school? I worked that blizzard machine like a BOSS. When I wasn’t up to my elbows in Peanut Buster Parfaits and Dilly Bars, I was making change and flirting with boys in the drive-through line. Those were the days…
Sometimes after the store closed and we finished scraping wads of gooey candy off the floor, we would try to come up with new blizzard flavors. I always like to mix Heath bar, Snickers, hot fudge and caramel together. That was always my favorite and I still sometimes request it to this day (they will make it, too, except they don’t have Snickers anymore. Boo.)
Anyway, all that to say that when it comes to ice cold yummy milkshakes, I’m not gonna turn it down. Any flavor, any time – perfect idea. While I’m still a huge fan of the milkshakes and blizzards from Dairy Queen, who can afford to eat those any time a craving strikes? Those suckers ain’t cheap.
Luckily for me (and my budget!), I discovered this Peppermint Oreo Shake recipe, and I’m beyond hooked. First off…why have I never thought of combining peppermint and oreos before? These flavor combination has opened up a whole other world for me! I’m thinking pies, cookies…you name it. I’m willing to taste test all varieties.
The other reason I love this Peppermint Oreo Shake? It’s crazy, crazy simple to make. Honestly, it takes just mere minutes to create and tastes like a million bucks. This Copycat DQ Candy Cane Chill Blizzard/Milkshake is perfect for kids, adults, and anyone else who loves a delicious treat.
Time for me to go snuggle up in front of the warm fire, reminisce about the good old days and sip on a slice of minty heaven in a cup.
