So I was checking out my sitemeter to see how my blog giveaway was going when I noticed that my sitemeter was en fuego!! with hits from a website called tiderinsider.com. At first I was all, “YAY! Someone local is linking to my blog!” until I clicked on the link and saw this:
It took me a couple of minutes to absorb what I was reading. I had to ask my coworker who Erin Andrews was and what the story was behind the hidden camera. When I finally pieced it all together, I realized that this person on the TiderInsider site thought I had something to do with the case! LOL forever!
From what I gather, Erin Andrews is an ESPN reporter who had a hidden cameras in her hotel room and the tapes are all over the internet now. Man, that is really a shame. I’m sorry to hear about that, Erin. Just know that there are people all across Alabama who are working hard to snope out your peeping tom.
If you read the linked blog entry I was writing a list of all the things my husband loves. One of them is UAB Sports, another is Mark Zona of The Worlds Greatest Fishing Show on ESPN. I had stolen a UAB Blazers logo image from Google Images a while back for this post about J’s favorite things. The image was named GoBlazers1, which apparently is a username of “a person of interest in the Erin Andrews hidden camera story.” When the Tider Insider searched for that specific term, my blog popped up. In that same post I had linked my Youtube videos of Mark Zona and The Worlds Greatest Fishing Show on ESPN as one of J’s favorite things.
When I realized what this Tider Insider might possibly be trying to accuse me of, I composed a nice little email to the webmaster asking them to clear my name. Before I could send it the thread had been deleted from the site. Thankfully my husband could read my mind and made a screenshot of it before it was deleted.
So, I decided to use my blog as a platform to clear my name with all the Tider Insiders and Erin Andrews fans of the world. The only time I remember seeing Erin was when she was backstage interviewing the contestants on the Scripps Spelling Bee Championship.
While I appreciate all the blog traffic, I can assure you I have had nothing to do with her hidden cameras. One scan of my website should hopefully make that abundantly clear. And I’m guessing that is the reason the thread got deleted.
Great snooping job, though! I applaud you for that one. Very Super Sleuthin’ Sherlock of you.
Hey, while yall Bama fans are here, why don’t you head over to my blog giveaway and enter to win a Bear Bryant themed sandwich wrapper? It’s houndstooth and perfect for all your eco-friendly tailgating parties!
And also, I can’t pass up this opportunity to say…. WAR DAMN EAGLE!
Somewhere in a dark unlit “Bama Room” sits a guy wearing an Alabama football helmet watching old reruns of the Bear coaching desperately searching the internet trying to figure out what a “boppy” is?
Now THAT made me LOL for real.
War Eagle 🙂
