Orr Park in Montevallo has always fascinated me.
It’s filled with tree sculptures like these.
A very talented man named Tim Tingle started carving the trees here in 1993, just two years before I started as a freshman at UM.
Today there are numerous carvings spread throughout Tinglewood in the park.
It’s a great place to wander around and try to spot a wizard or a warlock or even Kawliga.
You never know what you might discover at the park. It’s a super cool place to visit. You should go check it out some time!
My kids would LOVE to visit those trees!! As soon as it warms up we’ll have to go. Would you mind sending me some directions?
One of Jack’s classmates had a party there. What a nice park! We should meet there when the weather warms up. J and G can run around and we might get to chat!
Love the blog, but did you have to use THAT word?
@Amy– So sorry! I’m like 1/16th Cherokee, does that count for anything?
No?
Ah well. If you’ve been a reader for a while you know I’m not the most PC person you’ll ever stumble across here in bloggeritaville.
But since this bugged you, I’ll go edit it. 😀
Thanks for the great info. and pics!
