This past weekend we hopped aboard the Polar Express for a quick trip to the North Pole and back.
It was amazing how fast you can get to the North Pole via the woods of Calera. Garrett was so excited!
Once we arrived guess who we got to meet? Old Mr C. himself. And his lovely wife. G was pretty happy to see them.
They even autographed our Polar Express book for us. How cool is that?
I hope I can keep up with this book so we can take it back year after year for an autograph!
These two ladies (elves? fairies?) were just too cute!
I loved their eyelashes! Allison’s got nothing on these two in the eyelash department.
And their outfits were spectacular.
We rode on the Metra 7710 car where there was live music and chocolate milk and cookies. We all got a jingle bell and we jingled all the way back to the station.
If you’ve never done the Polar Express with your kids you really should check it out. Tickets went on sale back in July and they sold out pretty fast, so get prepared for next year! It’s THE thing to do! And be sure to wear your pajamas!
We love the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum! Thanks for another great memory for our little train lover.
My boys are 7, 6 and 2.5, and we went out for the second year to the HODRRM (terrible acronym, no?) for the pumpkin patch train ride. It was a total rip-off price-wise (I suppose we’re gluttons for punishment), but we had a great time anyway. 🙂 Polar Express had long been sold out by then, but it’s always sounded like a fun thing to do!
This looks so amazing and I love the photo of him – he looks so excited. I totally wanna go on this. How strange would it be if a 26-year-old woman comes to this by herself?
