Welcome to the 3rd installment of the Garden Party Blog Hop! We seem to be gaining a little momentum now that spring is sprunging around more parts of the nation. I SO appreciate all of you guys linking up to my blog party. It has been so much fun visiting your blogs and seeing what is happening around your yards. I’m inspired. I’m ready to get my hands dirty. I’m also REALLY ready to take the cover off of our pool and get it sparkling again. But instead of doing that stuff tonight I’m re-reading your entries and loving all that you’ve shared! I’ve also added a few new blogs to my Google Reader since hosting this party.
Like this one here:
One of the new-to-me blogs that simply blows me away this week is Amy at A Nest For All Seasons. Holy smoke bush am I envious of her incredible gardens! I’ve had that same grief over leaving behind all the work I put into the gardens at our last house, but this Spring has helped me see just what all I have to work with here at the new house. She hit the jackpot with her new place, though! She also has BOO-KOODLES of incredible tips on gardening. Seriously, folks. Her blog is a Treasure Trove if you are a gardener. Or a baker. Or a crafter. Or even a photographer! She’s a regular one stop shop of All Things Awesome. I’m so happy to be featuring her post here this week, and definitely plan to dive into her archives to see what else I can find that is inspiring. I have a feeling I won’t have to go too far before I run into a lot of great tips I can use.
Check out these GORGEOUS azaleas (or are they rhododendrons?) in Michelle of Southern Someday’s backyard! She is also helping to remind me to be thankful for my landscaping that came with my house (including some huge pink azaleas!) There is something to be said for fourteen year old well established plants that don’t need constant care and attention like the new ones I’m planting this season. What a beautiful and drool-worthy backyard retreat you have, Michelle! I love your beautiful trees and shrubs.
And speaking of backyard retreats… did you see the pool that Nicole at It’s Benedict… Like the Pope (or as I like to call her–FIowerchild from the Nest!) is having put in their backyard?
Hot damn, you guys. I think I’m dead.
This sucker is going to be SUPAH PHAT when it’s completed. I cannot WAIT to see what the end result will look like. That hot tub. Wow. Just wow!
Finally I’m gonna wrap up this week with my fellow Alabamian Miss Kopy Kat and the butterfly on her Confederate Jasmine. Because I’m all about some butterflies lately, and I LOVE the smell of Confederate Jasmine. Plus her blog is so pretty! And just like Jamey Johnson says…the only LA I know is Lower Alabama. 🙂
So there you go! The Best in Show from the last party. All you guys who were featured go grab your award button over on the sidebar and add it to your blog! I appreciate all of your participation so much.
So here we go, let’s get to partying this week!
Show off all that hard earned sweat equity by linking up any post about gardening. Flowers, vegetables, lawn care, landscaping, hardscaping… whatever! Add as many entries as you’d like from the past or present- we’re not picky around these parts. We just want to see how your garden grows. Or doesn’t grow, so that we don’t feel so bad about killing our own plants.
I would REALLY appreciate it if you’d add the button to your blog entry so that other folks can join in the party, too. Thanks for spreading the word!
Here’s how it works:
1. In the McLinky below, add a permalink to your specific blog post, not the main page of your blog.
2. Include a description of your Garden Party contribution after the name of your blog.
3. Please add a link to this garden party directly from your post so others can join in on the fun! You can grab the code in the box below.
4. Please double check to make sure your permalink works correctly so everyone can find your post.
Can’t wait to see what all you’ve been up to this week!
Hi Beth – how fun, I’m looking forward to meeting new garden bloggers! I’ve added your garden party button to my blog too so maybe some of my friends can meet some of your friends!
Thanks so much for your visit Beth. I linked up. Nice party, thank you for hosting.
First of all…holy cannoli girl, thank you for the plug…you are the nicest, sweetest thing on earth!
2. I am SO jealous over that pool…
3. It makes me sad when people tear out big old plants like that azalea to plant something better. I can see if you really really hate something tearing it out, but house flippers especially dig out those beautiful plants and replace them with tiny plants from the garden center that are going to take 10 years to grow anywhere near that size. Why not prune the sucker?? …off the soapbox…
thank you again Beth…I really really appreciate it 🙂 Putting your button on my links page… http://anestforallseasons.blogspot.com/p/what-im-reading.html

I really am intrigued with your blog. I am an architect who enjoys design inside and out and there are not so many blogs in the garden world that transcend both. I will be back for sure.
OMG — flowerchild. I haven’t seen that name in YEARS!
