Hope everyone had a good Father’s Day weekend.
We had a yard sale Saturday morning and kinda racked up! I was shocked at how much our crap sold for. We made about $300!
Last night we took my Dad out to the local theatre to see a performance of To Kill A Mockingbird. The actors did an outstanding job, and my dad even talked about joining the troupe. I always said he is a big drama queen, so that would be just the thing for him to do.
Today we spent the afternoon with the inlaws. Enjoyed lunch and a birthday cake for my FIL.
We went to the lake this afternoon to check on things. We are having such a drought here in central Alabama that our lake has dropped 4 feet! Our lakes are all controlled by dams, and they have to lower the water to keep the rivers below us navigable for the barges.
The boat is so far below the pier that I cannot even get into it without sitting down and dangling my feet over the edge. Don’t even think about getting OUT of the boat. J had to climb the swim ladder today. We have the boat slings lowered as far as they will go, and if they drop the water much lower we will not be able to get the boat off of them. But we have to keep it on the slings, or pretty soon it will be sitting in the MUD.
Yuck.
