Today is Veterans Day.
To all the men and women who have served our country over the years, thank you. Thanks for all that you have done to protect me and my family, and to give me the freedom to be able to say what I want to say on this public blog and be how I want to be when folks actually meet me in person.
We all owe you our debt of gratitude.
A few years back my Dad was leading a prayer in church. It happened to be Veteran’s Day, and he decided to included a blurb about that in the prayer. It went a little something like this,
“Dear Heavenly Father, please be with the families of all the men who have died in the Veteran’s Day Parade.”
I’ve come closer to peeing my pants in church, but that was definitely one of the runner-up moments.
