So, I’m not a jewelry person. Not really. Or a purse person or a shoe person or a shopping person at all, quite frankly. You might find me shopping for some house stuff, and some bass boats, and some Rick Clunn baitcaster reels, but I guarantee you’ll never see me salivating over a Gucci bag or a Manolo shoe. That’s just not how I roll.
However.
I went a little crazy a few months back and ordered myself some jewelry. A friend of mine is stationed in Afghanistan, and she told us about some incredible deals on jewelry at the local market. And one day during a QVC-esque jewelry shopping frenzy, a whole bunch of us ordered all sorts of beautiful pieces from her.
Well, today it all arrived!
J was working from home today and he received my package. THANK GOODNESS he was there because he had to sign for it. I wouldn’t want to spend another Friday night on a wild goose chase with the UPS man.
I got a star sapphire earring and pendant set and a ring, but we’ll get to that in a minute…
Words cannot describe how beautiful this jewelry is. These photos do not do it justice. The earrings are GORGEOUS, the pendant is beautiful, and the ring…. well… it’s just seriously smoking hot.
Let’s start with the star sapphires. Aren’t they so pretty?!?
Do you know how hard it is to take a non-blurry photo of your own ear?? VERY.
Ok, so I am literally swooning over my new ring!
I also got a 4.6 carat green amethyst ring because G’s birthday is in February, and amethyst is the birthstone for February. J’s favorite color is green, so this ring symbolizes the two boys in my life. So after some googling I have learned that more than likely it’s actually green quartz since true amethyst is all purple, but I’m going to call it amethyst for symbolizm’s sake, mmkay? So don’t tell me otherwise. Ignorance is bliss.
During the frenzy I found this incredible piece from Tiffany & Co., so I asked her to get the jeweler to create something like it:
And here is my ring that cost NOWHERE near the amount of that Tiffany ring.
Check this bad boy out:
Isn’t it pretty?
It’s the palest green color in person, but in pictures it looks more clear. When I show off my new ring everyone thinks its a diamond! Hehehe…. Would it be really wrong of me to not correct the next person who thinks that?
I won’t tell if you won’t.
I’m considering ordering another ring from her because I love this one so much. The trouble is deciding what to order.
So, if you had a choice, would you choose something similar to this, this, this or this?
Or maybe this?
Tough choice.
Input?

I like the amethyst ring the best. If you had it set in yellow gold, it would be UM colors!

I like the one that looks like its brown topaz maybe?
