Things Left Unsaid: Baby Shower Edition

One year and one week ago thirty of my family and friends of the female variety gathered at a local winery for my baby shower.

I was 30 weeks pregnant with Garrett at the time. Of course I didn’t blog about it, since I was pretty mum during my pregnancy. Get it? Mum? Ha! Anyway, I will tell ya’ll about it now, since I’m in full on blabberocity mode.

The shower was moose and bear themed, just like G’s nursery. The invites were perfect!

Check out this awesome cake. It was lemon. My favorite!

We all sat around a gigantic table and chowed down on chicken salad sandwiches and tomato basil soup and pasta salad.

I couldn’t drink the wine, but I did have myself a glass of sparkling grape juice. And some lemon cake.

We received all kinds of great prizes that day, many of which I am still using to this day!

My Mother-in-law crocheted this amazing afghan, which I love!

We got lots of other great gifts, including all kinds of clothes for baby G, who was still named Boudreaux at the time.

It was a great day, and I was so thankful to everyone who came to the shower. Two of the people who attend my shower are no longer with us, so I’m especially glad I got to spend time with Granny W and Becky W that day. They are both missed immensely.

Thanks so much to my mom and sister for throwing me such a great baby shower. I had a great day, and I appreciate it very much.
