Awesome.

We had a photo session today at our house with Samantha Ferguson of His Hands Photographs to document Garrett’s first birthday. He started out pretty well, but unfortunately he didn’t get a nap this afternoon before she arrived (my fault) so he was crankypants by the time we were done. I was worried that she may not have gotten a lot of good shots because he was so fussy most of the time, HOWEVER.

Oh, man, I am BLOWN AWAY!! She got some beautiful pictures of him! She just posted the highlights today on her blog and we should have all of them back in two weeks. I cannot wait to see the rest of these images. They are so gorgeous!

The overalls he’s wearing were a pair of Liberty overalls that J’s grandfather had specially made for J when he was a little boy. He worked for a denim factory- I guess the one that made Liberty overalls? I’m not 100% sure, so I’ll have to get the full story on that. They fit G right now, so we had his picture made in them.

We recreated the cake smash with cupcakes instead of a full cake this time.

And let me just say that I LOVE THE CUPCAKE ONES!! You can’t tell in these, but he’s wearing a shirt that my sister bought for him at Kitson on her LA trip last year that says “My parents are exhausted.”

And we sure were by that point! :o)
