I have a new love in my life. As is usual with me, it’s in the form of casegoods.
I bought this bad mammy-jammy last year when Pier One was having a going out of biz sale. It called my name and said “Beeetttthhh… you want me… you neeeeeedddd meeeee…. buy me nnoooowwwww.”
And I did.
I can never resist talking furniture. Especially when it’s this awesome and 30% off.
Trouble was, I had nowhere to put it, and no real desire to decorate around it. After Garrett arrived, my shabby chic girly room got turned into a guest bedroom where we could crash upstairs during those long nights of baby bootcamp. The man room already had a desk and lots of other manly furniture lining the walls. Plus our house is on the market and I have pretty much already checked out of here. Decorating is really low on my list of priorities right now.
So for a long time this baby sat covered up with an old quilt in my in-laws basement with the hope of one day being moved into a new house. Now that we are looking at one year with our house on the market, I said “HECK WITH THIS!” and we moved that sucker upstairs into my old office. The green paint on the walls has gone back to buyer-friendly but ever boring beige. But I think the color suits this room nicely. I’m not so shabby anymore, but I’m still trying to be a little bit chic.
Now if I could just find time for some projects to work on this project table. And some energy to hang something on the walls around it.
Hmmmm. We’ll see if that happens. Don’t hold your breath, though, mmkay?
And here is a sneak peak at ANOTHER piece of furniture that has been added to the room recently.
But that’s a whole ‘nother post for a whole ‘nother day.
I REALLY like your project table. That would be such an awesome spot to create!
The other piece of furniture is cool too 🙂
Hey, Beth, nice find there! And thank you for stopping by. I’m not sure if I’ve been to your blog before, but if I haven’t, so nice to meet you. And I think you said you’re in B’ham too, I love connecting with local girls. Please come back & visit me again!
I want both of those pieces of furniture! 🙂
Interested in your project table- how much to get it off your hands?
My son uses it daily in his room now and I don’t think he’d be willing to give it up for anything. 😁 Pottery Barn Teen had one recently so maybe check there!
Hello. I had exact desk. Loved it. It got messed up in storage so threw it away. Now I wish I had got it repaired because new I want it back since I am having hard time replacing. Do you think you son would let it go for $500? Just thought I would make an offer and try. Lol
