By now I’m sure y’all are thinking “Track is Whack” every time I start talking about Garrett and his train addiction.
Well, Whitney… get a load of this:
I just realized that I never showed y’all what all the fuss was about. This is one of Garrett’s early Christmas gifts.
Way early.
Like mid-Octoberish.
Here was his face when he first saw it all assembled. Happy, no? It’s a rare event we get a reaction this big from this kid. He’s usually Mr. Stoic. But for this? He was ecstatic!
And I believe that J had as much fun setting it all up as G did receiving it!
It’s got trains of all shapes and sizes, and a gas station, and police and fire stations and a construction zone. But it’s not just trains. It’s got all kinds of other transportation like helicopters and airplanes and boats and barges and heavy machinery.
The attention to detail is amazing, right down to the dental habits of the dump truck driver and crane operator.
There is a tunnel through the mountain where G can squirrel away all his treasured possessions.
On top of the mountain is a place I like to call Thrill Hill.
Not many trains stay on the rails when they hit the curve at the bottom of Thrill Hill.
I cannot begin to tell you how many hours of entertainment this table has provided for Garrett. He wakes up and his first words are “Choo Choo Trains!” Every night before bed, he has to play with them or there is a meltdown all-mighty.
He plays so intently that his bottom lip pokes out in deep concentration.
It’s been the best gift we could have ever gotten him, I think. I have no idea how we are going to top this one.
Very very cool! Good luck to Santa trying to top that!
So cute! What a great gift for G!
What is the brand? My son would love this!
