Give it away now! A Giving Giveaway.

I realize I haven’t written anything here in long time. It seems that my blog giveadamn is busted, and I’m not really sure how to fix it.

I don’t blame you one bit for giving me the side eye right now. It’s ok. I know I’m a slacker blogger. No excuses, really. Just life getting in the way. I am constantly amazed at the bloggers, especially mommy bloggers, who are able to churn out consistently well-written blog entries that are entertaining and typed on keyboards that are likely not spattered with Play Dough and peanut butter and jelly. I’m REALLY impressed by the ones who are also home schooling their kids while maintaining a great blog. I just don’t have it in me to be that organized or energetic these days.

So to try to appease my readers I’ve decided to do a feel-good, no-strings attached giveaway. Nothing makes people feel better than a little bit of benevolence, right?

This is a website where you can sift through thousands of classroom projects in need of various tools for teaching. You can narrow it down by state and even county, if you want to donate to your local schools. You can also donate to specific projects relating to your favorite subject in school.

Here is the breakdown of the categories you can choose from, along with the number of projects available in each division:

As you can see, there are LOTS of opportunities for giving.

I love searching through for projects that are almost completed and tying up the loose ends for teachers.  And here is the best part…

After the classroom project is completed, the kids send you hand written thank you notes!  I LOVE getting these packages in the mail.  They make my day, especially when they are from younger kids who are just learning to spell.  I literally grin from ear to ear reading them all. You never know what they are going to say.
