G’s playroom furniture arrived from The Foundary, and we couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Ok, my husband might have been a little happier if one of the cam locks on the bookshelf hadn’t broken during assembly, but aside from that we are super pleased!
If I were a good mommy/design blogger I would have written a cute note or label on the front of his red chalkboard bin. But that would mean I’d have to walk downstairs and get the chalk, which requires effort that I just didn’t feel like giving to this blog entry. That’s probably why I only have 88 followers after five years of blogging. XOXO to my loyal 88ers! {Edited to say that I’ve gained three new followers since yesterday! :waves hello to newcomers: Welcome! Thanks so much for being my friend!}
The table and chairs set is really sturdy which is hard to find in kid’s furniture these days, or any furniture for that matter.
I have some really grand ideas floating around in my head for this playroom. Whether or not they will get carried out, only time will tell. Here is the overview of the room right now:
This room is a FROG (finished room over garage) that has some interesting ceilings but no windows for natural light. Eventually I’d like to paint the entire room like a big backyard, with a house on one end of the room and a big treehouse on the other end. Something like this but infinitely better when executed IRL:
Don’t hate me for my beautiful Photoshopping skills. They are dangerously enviable, I know.
Seriously, though… can’t you just picture a giant mural of a tree painted on this ceiling jut-out?
I know I can. Now to just make it happen! Like the Little Engine that Could says… I think I can, I think I can….
Ah! So jealous of that play room. What an amazing space… the outdoor look would be awesome in there! I bet Garrett loves it, as I know my boy would!
Great set up. Makes me miss having a little one in the house.
[…] since we moved into this house I’ve known I wanted to paint a mural on Garrett’s playroom wall. Trouble was I really had no idea what scene I wanted to paint. […]
