Are you a member of The Foundary? If not, you really should check it out. They have some incredible sales on furniture and home decor. You earn a $1 credit for every person you refer, then you get a $20 credit when they make their first purchase, ANDPLUSALSO you earn a dollar every single time that person buys something.
I recently discovered that I had $95 in referral credits to spend! SCORE! I love having shop-a-holic friends! (You know who you are.) So, I’ve been watching the ads for a few weeks, scanning for things that I might want to buy. Nothing called my name, until today.
Today I saw this gorgeous little drafting desk pop up.
It was on sale for $175.00.
And suddenly my name was called.
I needed it.
Ok, I wanted it.
I can picture it in my sun room with a coat of fresh white paint on it.
So I bought it. And instead of paying the retail price of $1,076.00 (WhattheWHAT?)
I paid $89.98. Including delivery.
Not too shabby, eh?
Here is the thing about the Foundary, though. Stuff sells out quicker than quick. In fact, I got the very last one of these desks in stock. And the downside of that is that once they are gone, they are pretty much gone forever.
Last year my friend suckered me into buying I made another purchase of a beautiful Verona blue coffee table originally sold at Horchow for well over $1k.
Unfortunately it was damaged in transit, and since it was the last one in stock I never received it. They did credit my card back, though, so I wasn’t out anything except for my excitement and then disappointment over owning and then not owning this beautiful table.
So if you are fast and the freight company isn’t too clumsy you can really snag some deals. If you see something you love, add it to your cart ASAP! A countdown will begin and it gives you 10 minutes to complete your purchase. Take that time to have a self-talk and figure out if you really need this item and where the heck you’re going to put it. Then check out quick before the timer runs out and it gets released back out into the inventory. Somebody else will snatch it up, I promise!
If you hemhaw around, you might see this little sign pop up on your favorite item.
Boooo. In my experience, there is never any more on the way. They just want you to check back later.
But if you pull that trigger fast you might get to see this pop up, and then you can say “Neiner Neiner!” to all those other suckers who didn’t get there in time.
A warning about those credits– they do have an expiration date! So keep an eye on them and be sure to use them up before they expire.

PS– This was in no way a sponsored post. I just love scoring good deals and sharing it with you. The Foundary has never heard of me before.

Hi Beth! That desk IS wonderful. Thanks for sharing about “the Foundery”…I have never heard of it. I know you didn’t do this blog post to get more people to join via you but just in case we WANTED to join and give you credit, how would we do that?
