Disclaimer: This is not a blog entry about pancakes.
Last week we had dinner with my parents at Cracker Barrel. What can I say? I’m a sucker for Fish Fry Fridays and Garrett likes the peg game. It’s a win/win. As we were leaving there was this display of beachy themed stuff and I spotted these pretty driftwood bowls holding a bunch of odds and ends.
Just a few days before I’d seen a similar driftwood basket online selling for around $50.00. I considered purchasing it for a second but couldn’t pull the trigger on a $50 bowl. I never in a million years expected to find such pretty little replica out there in the middle of the giant checker sets and pecan logs at the Cracker Barrel.
I emptied out all the Yankee candles and decorative balls and checked for a price tag, expecting to see something a little bit outrageous.
Imagine my surprise when I saw a price tag of $19.99 on this one!
SOLD!
I don’t think this is actual driftwood. Although the tag was from a company called Hidden Cove so it sounds kinda beachy. It looks more like whittled down broomsticks in some parts but the overall design of the bowl is really cool so I couldn’t turn it down. I’ve got big plans for it that might involve more succulents. But for now I just wanted to share my happy little find and see how hungry I could make you all in one post.
Mission accomplished.
Aaaaaand now I’m craving pancakes.
Score! Cracker Barrel…who knew?!
Super cute basket! We don’t have Cracker Barrels here though… hmmm. They sound good. Oh well!
If I could decorate my whole house in driftwood, I wood…I mean, would. What a fab find & @ Cracker Barrel of all places?! Z Gallerie would charge up the hoo-haa for this.
Mmmm….pancakes.
P.S. How’s that for working “hoo-haa” & “pancakes” into one comment? It’s going to be a good day.
Nice! Never would’ve thought to do my home decor shopping at Cracker Barrel, but this is such a pretty little bowl! 🙂
I am a sucker for the Cracker Barrel shop. So great, including the fish fry!
Cracker Barrel always gets you in the gift shop. With it being from CB I am sure it is wittled broom sticks!
Very cute, what a find! And I love Cracker Barrel’s cornbread- yum!
SO wanted to see pancakes up in here!!!!! $#@&!
🙂
That’s beautiful!! Noah would love to chew on it…I should totally get one.
Great bowl! Just found your blog (we are close to each other on picket fence blogs). Just spent about 30 minutes looking at your beautiful pages. Love your decorating style.
I went to Cracker Barrel for an item I purchase there regularly. On my way to the register I spotted this bowl. There were two of them and I asked the clerk to empty one of its contents so I could pick the one I wanted. Not only did I end up buying one for myself but I bought the other one for an upcoming Birthday gift. What a wonderful and unique gift for only $19.99. Way to go Cracker Barrel. I have seen similar items on different web sites from $80.00 up to $250.00.
