We bought G a cheap kiddie pool at Walmart yesterday and filled it with play sand. He loved it, but I never really doubted that he wouldn’t. That kid LOVES to be outdoors more than anything else. Add some dirt and a dump truck and he was in heaven.
It’s a good stand in until I can find him a Sand and Water Table on sale somewhere.
He played in the sand for a long time this afternoon while G and I rested after spreading 80 bags of mulch in the natural areas of the backyard. Yes, eighty.
I’m thankful to have a screened in back porch where he can play safely and I don’t have to watch his every move.
Not that I won’t take photos of his every move and blog about it. But since this was the first day of the sandbox I had to take pics!
He spent about thirty minutes tossing sand around, then he went over and dug out a Milkbone from the dog’s stash.
He has a new obsession with feeding Milkbones to Gus and Woodrow.
He makes them sit and wait like gentlemen.
And then he hands them the treat. This is the most calm that you’ll ever see Augustus.
And here is one for you, Big Wood. Good boy.
We let G do this once about a month ago and now he wants to do it constantly. Everytime we are outside it’s Milkbone time.
I don’t think Gus or Woodrow would object to constant Milkbones. They are all ’bout it ’bout it.
Trouble is, he wants to feed them anything else he can find laying around. Woodrow says “You ain’t foolin’ me.”
“Got anymore Milkbones in that overall bib? Don’t hold out on me now.”
This little boy is the best thing that has ever happened to them.
Thanks, kid.
awww! (and I love the bout it bout it addition..lol)
