A few weeks back I met up with my friends Kent and Lisa in Atlanta for the Country Living Fair aka my Mothership.
Kent’s baby girl came along for the trip as well as her sister-in-law Ann Margaret. It was the perfect place for a girls weekend getaway. Unfortunately I only had one day to peruse but NEXT year I will make sure to go at least two days. There was so much to see that it was impossible to take it all in in just a few hours.
I knew I would enjoy it, but I had no idea just how much I would fall in love with all the stuff I saw there.
I seriously want to paint every single thing in my house white and light blue/grey now.
Loved these chairs! Perfect for the wiener lovers out there.
It took a lot of restraint for me to not buy this piece of hanging tin. Since I already have one gigantic 4×4 tin tile wall decoration in my house, I decided I didn’t need another one even though this one called my name VERY loudly.
As did these chests.
And this gorgeous round window in a whiskey barrel type shadowbox. Swoon.
And I’m not even gonna tell y’all what this door did for me. Whewweeeeee. I love this door.
Of course, while I was there I was on the hunt for the Caromal Colors booth. They have just gotten some new colors in their line that I’m eyeballing for future projects. I used the Caromal Colors Red Peppercorn color on this old window coffee table and love how it turned out.
And these pumpkins they had painted were so cute! I might need to do this to pep up all of my faded funkin pumpkins from years ago.
Here is what all did make it into my trunk, with the exception of the two awesome women standing next to me (unfortunately).
I bought a huge dough bowl (scored for $35– whatta steal!) along with a 12 hole sugar mold candle holder with an iron base. That dough bowl is sitting proudly in the middle of my dining room table waiting for Christmas decorations.
The candle holder has not found a permanent place yet. Hopefully soon.
I also debated and debated about that lantern, but finally at the last minute ran back and bought it. I’m SO glad I did, because on the way back to that vendor I ran across the booth selling these beautiful curled wood shaving wreaths. Now lantern and wreath are happy together in my sunroom.
Here’s a funny story about that lantern. I randomly stopped by Pottery Barn on my way home from the fair to check out their seagrass rugs. I rarely (as in twice in my life) go into Pottery Barn, so imagine my surprise when I see my EXACT same lantern that I just purchased at the fair sitting on the shelf at Pottery Barn.
Park Hill Lanterns from Pottery Barn
Apparently I need to frequent Pottery Barn more often.
Yummy.
And Yummier.
Did you happen to go to the Country Living Fair? If so, what did you score?
