We are back home from our trip to Intercourse, Pennsylvania and The Hamptons (with a surprise tour of downtown NYC!) I have SO much to say about the trip, but for now I want to show off this super cute display that I saw in a store in Intercourse. A bunting garland made of tin and numbered pitchers and awesome ironwork… Those Pennsylvania Dutch sure know about merchandising to girls like me. I wanted to bring this whole display home. I am kind of beating myself up that I didn’t buy that bunting to use on my Christmas mantel. Guess what I’ll be trying to DIY in the next two months?
Let’s hope I don’t lose a digit in the process. Typing this blog would be tough with nine fingers. Wish me luck!
I can’t believe you didn’t buy it!! I would have been all over that like white on rice! I hope you figure out a easy DIY so I can copy 😉
Be still my heart … that bunting is to die for! Pinned! And if you can figure out how to DIY, I am in!
That’s so cute!
I LIKE the tin bunting! Can’t wait to see your version!
Tin snips and some gloves…
🙂
Oh yes please try it and tell us how you do it. too. That is so cute and I haven’t seen bunting of metal before.
[…] we took a trip to Pennsylvania Dutch country in October, I’ve had it in my mind to recreate this galvanized metal bunting that I saw draped on a store display in one of the Amish shops. Here is the photo I took that day […]
