It sure has been a stressful few weeks for America, huh?
First Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and Louisiana then Irma rolled over all of Florida, half of Georgia and some of my home state of Alabama. As I type this, my kids are out of school because of the threat of bad weather from Irma passing over us. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has suffered losses in these two major disasters.
We sure could use a little good news today.
To counteract all the bad stuff I’ve been in full-fledged fall decorating mode around here. I’ve been decking the halls with boughs of fake fall leaves and pumpkins because these things make me happy. Fall is my favorite time of year.
Plus, I’m teaming up with a bunch of bloggers for some big fall home tours next week, so I’ve gotta get it all done and photographed before I go out of town this weekend! 🙂 Wanna guess while I’m going out of town?
Y’all. I’m turning FORTY years old this weekend!
As of Sunday, September 17th, I’m officially over the hill.
I’m sure some folks wouldn’t be happy to admit that, but I’m friggin’ ecstatic about it.
Why is that such good news?
Because it means I’m still breathing, that’s why! I’ve been on this earth for 40 years and I’m still waking up each morning to enjoy everything that I’ve been given. I have the best life. More than I could have ever dreamed about. Every birthday from here on out is a blessing, because each one means I’ve lived to see another year of my kids growing up and my life just getting better and better.
To celebrate the big 4-0 I’m headed to Franklin, TN with my group of my BFFs from around the country for a girl’s weekend filled with laughter, shopping and lotso wine.
We have the absolute HONOR of staying in my friend Scarlett Scales new rental cottage. Scarlett, who owns Scarlett Scales Antiques, has opened a new rental home in downtown Franklin. I’m SO excited to get to stay there for my birthday with my very best friends in the whole world. PS: I love Franklin!

Indeed, every day is a blessing.
That’s why I made a free printable for you guys that says “Bountiful Blessings, Indeed.”
When I was thinking up slogans for fall printables this year I thought about the hymn “Showers of Blessings”.
I have always thought the words to that song were “Showers of blessings… showers of blessings, indeed” but then I googled it and found out it’s actually “Showers of blessings we need.”
For some reason that didn’t quite look as good on my printable as “indeed” so I changed it up a lil bit. 🙂
Because instead of more rain showers I hope you have bountiful blessings, indeed!

PS-I totally did NOT paint this beautiful wreath myself. I wish I had those kind of watercolor painting skillz, but nope. Instead, I bought these purple watercolor paintings as stock images and slapped a pretty font on top of them. Ain’t no shame in my free printable game. This is how I roll these days. You can buy them, too! Here’s my affiliate link to purchase:
