And talk about a hit at the Halloween parties! You could also stuff ’em in goodie bags and give them away as treats for the classmates or neighbors.
So, whatcha waiting on? Melt some chocolate and get to dipping these super simple but fun recipes for Halloween.
I made a video to show y’all exactly how I created them…
Here are the ingredients and instructions for each hair-raising treat:
Frankenstein Toes
- Green candy melts
- Braided Pretzels
- Red gumdrops (I used Dots candy)Melt the chocolate in the microwave according to directions.
Cut Dots in half. Dip pretzels in green chocolate and apply half a Dot as fingernails.
Sp-cookie Ghosts
- Oval shaped cookies (I used coconut BelVitas. Milanos or Nutter Butters also work well.)
- White Dipping Chocolate
- Candy EyeballsMelt the chocolate in the microwave according to directions. Dip cookies in chocolate and apply two eyeballs.
Mummy Fingers
- White Dipping Chocolate
- Shredded Coconut
- Braided PretzelsMelt the chocolate in the microwave according to directions. Dip pretzels in chocolate and sprinkle coconut on top before it hardens. Pour the rest of chocolate into a sandwich bag and cut off a tiny piece of the corner of the bag. Squiggle chocolate all over the top of coconut to look like bandages.
Werewolf Claws
- Pretzel Rods
- Slivered Almonds
- Chocolate Sprinkles
- Milk Chocolate (Yes, I used a 6-month old Easter Bunny).
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals. Swirl pretzel rods in chocolate then apply slivered almonds as claws. Coat with chocolate sprinkles to resemble fur.
Hope your kids love these special treats as much as mine did!
Happy almost Halloween (and Friday the 13th….. oooooooOOOOooooOOooo….)
