Our waterproof doggfood container wheel fell off today.
Which was kind of appropriate, considering rap music lost one of the greatest hook men of all time today.
RIP Nate Dogg. Hope you’re ready for the next episode.
I feel like I need to pour one out for my fallen homey tonight. I loved me some Nate Dogg. What teenager of the mid-90’s didn’t cruise around a parking lot listening to this song? Ahhh. Memories. So sad. Not to mention all the other songs through the years that I can’t exactly link to my PG rated mommy blog.
I have always been an unapologetic old school rap fan but I realize that most of my readers are probably not all ’bout it ’bout it. I do love to pepper my blog with references to it, though. I’m not sure who else gets those little jokes except for maybe my husband and a handful of my closest friends.
I’m pretty lucky to be married to a man who shares my love of dirty rap songs. In fact, on our first date when he told me the story about winning a Buck Wild Phat Pack from 95.7 Jamz I knew we were a match made in heaven. We are just about the whitest McWhiteysons you’ll ever meet, but don’t let our Opielicious-ness fool you. We are from the G-funk era and we are funked out with a gangsta twist.
I was just thinking that maybe I should have named my Garden Party post from earlier today “I’ve got Hoes in Different Area Codes” instead of the Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh song “La Di Da Di, We Like To Party”.
Then I could have used lines like “If your grass is a busta 2-1-3 will regulate.” and “Three from the one and the one from the three, I got a bad itch last night from a bee, let me tell you how I made relief for me–conversation and cortisone cream.” Then I could have handed out the Abomidable Hoe-man awards to the best weed pullers out there.
Then I could have ended the post by saying “We gon’ rock it to the wheels fall off…
Hey-yay-yay-ayaaaaaa!
PULL WEEDS EVERYDAY!”

I love you.
I’m with ya on this one. RIP Nate Dog.
thinking you need to have a bloggy-get-together rap party…
You just made me spit my Dr. Pepper all over my laptop with your mention of, “I got hoes…” Oh mah gawd! Love it!
By the way, long time reader, first time commenter!
I love rocks music. Thank you for sharing
