Strawberry Angel Food Cheesecake Shooters (4th of July Dessert)
When the 4th of July rolls around, I’m always craving something with strawberries and sweet…and this year, I’ve found my favorite 4th of July dessert.
What I love most about these strawberry Angel Fool Cheesecake Shooters is that they look fancy (c’mon, they do!!) and they taste so light and delicious.
The last thing that I want when I’m having a 4th of July celebration is to be overloaded with food and sweets. I need to be able to enjoy the fireworks show after all, right?
If you’re looking for a quick and easy patriotic dessert, you’re going to love this simple recipe.
Ingredients needed for this 4th of July dessert:
Store bought angel food cake
2 C. chopped strawberries
8 oz pkg cheese, softened
1.85 oz pkg Instant vanilla pudding mix (4-½ serving size)
¾ C. milk
8oz container whipped topping
How to make Strawberry Angel Food Cheesecake Shooters:
Cream Cheese Filling Mixture:
Combine cream cheese, milk and pudding mix and beat on medium for 1 minute using a stand mixer or hand mixer.
Add ½ the whipped topping and beat again on medium until combined, about 1 minute.
Cut angel food cake into small (about 1”) cubes using a serrated knife.
Putting dessert together:
You could make this in a large trifle bowl or little bowls or cups.
Start off by adding a layer of angel food cake cubes to the bottom of your bowl/cup.
Add filling mixture (If you are using a small cup/bowl, you may want to use a piping bag or ziplock bag to make it easier.)
Add strawberries
(If your serving dish is tall, continue to layer until you get to the top)
Add a dollop of whipped topping.

How many shooters does this make?
I believe you could easily get about 12 shooters out of this recipe. Since the angel food cake is so big you can just add another package of pudding and strawberries to make it go even further.
Thanks! I can make it 1 hour
