If you missed it and care enough to go back and read about it, you can check out the previous days of the trip here, here, here, and here.
Our last day in Orlando was mainly a travel day, except for a short lunch with my great friend Aly and her husband Todd. You might remember the lovely Aly from my Dallas or Columbus GTG posts.
Yeah, she’s awesome. I love me some Aly. Hopefully you’ll see more of her on this blog come September when the crew all lands in Birmingham for the weekend!!! EEEEEE!! I’m so excited about that!
Anyway, Aly and and her super nice husband Todd live in Orlando, so we met them for lunch on the way to the airport.
While we were there, Aly took two of my most favorite photos from the entire trip. Possibly from the entire year! Look how happy my boy is in this photo. Aly had brought him a toy car, so immediately he was smitten with her.
And check it out- a nice family photo where we are all smiling and looking directly at the camera! That is such a rare event, I’m not sure that it’s ever actually happened before. Good job, Aly!
After lunch, we headed to the airport, suffered through a few screaming meltdowns and more stroller breakdowns to get through security checkpoints, more Wiggles DVDs, and finally, we touched down in Birmingham, safe and sound.
What a great trip! We had a great time, and we’re so thankful to J’s employer (and mine) for helping to sponsor this family vacation. Thanks guys!
