Living in Alabama it’s just a hop, skip and a jump down to the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. When I say “I’m at the beach!” I mean that I’m somewhere along the sugar white sands known as the Beaches of South Walton, Florida. This year we stayed in a little beach cottage in Santa Rosa Beach. Our favorite things to do when we go to the beach are eat, shop, do nothing, read books, and repeat.
I wanted to share with you guys some of the pretty things I found while shopping this year.
A few of my favorite beach treasures I’ve already showed you during my home office reveal–like this pretty compass pillow that sits in the window seat. I found this at Kathleen’s Kottage. She’s right before the bay bridge on Hwy 331 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It’s a must-stop place while we are in that area.
Along with these starfish.
They are so pretty together in my window seat!
Here is another cool thing I’ve bought from Kathleen’s – these seashell balls were picked up on a beach trip for our fourth anniversary.
And then there is this unique little piece of artwork that my mom bought for me years ago.
Here is the thing you haven’t seen yet. It’s a concave white washed piece of wood with little legs. It is perfect on my coffee table holding all my favorite magazines (and sometimes Garrett’s toys).
The shape is what made it interesting to me. It’s like someone pulled a piece of wood off of a whiskey barrel and put some legs on it. I like that it’s whitewashed, too. I found this in one of the CUTE little cottages inside the Shops at Grayton. If you are ever in the are, be sure to check them out!
If you ever head down to the Destin/ Hwy 30A area, be sure to stop in and check out all the little local shops. There are so many great treasures to be found!
