Sunday was going home day. 🙁
Aly got up way early and snuck out while everyone was still sleeping. J brought Garrett over to meet the girls during breakfast. G was acting all silly and giddy but he loved all the leftover balloons that were still scattered around the house. When everyone was packing up to leave he conked out asleep on the couch after a crazy weekend at Nana and Papa’s house.
Kelly took Dusty down to my alma mater to snap some beautiful maternity photos of her. Check out her inspiring blog for some gorgeous photos. These were taken at the same place as my wedding portraits and Garrett’s one year photo shoot. I heart UM. I’m sure it was a rushed photo shoot for them since there were planes to catch and we had to get on the road to the airport. I would love to see what they could have done with a lot more time!
The rest of the drivers left just after breakfast. We had a round of hugs and crying and then I drove the flyers to the airport.
And I have ZERO good photos any of those events. Anyone else have any? 🙁
Boo, Hiss and Whaaa!
But I do have photos of this event:
The departure of my Merry.
I told her that I want her to return to her house, pack up all of her belongings and family and move to Alabama immediately so we can hang out every day. She is that awesome.
She wasn’t too keen on the booger melting heat and humidity, but I’m hoping she will consider it.
And then she was gone.
And then we got to see Allison’s beautiful cry. Doesn’t she make crying look awesome? I wish I looked this purty when I cried.
To cheer us all up, we went to Cheesecake Factory and ate some of these.
And some of these:
And we all felt just a tad bit better.
Then we took a quick side trip to Homegoods and Hancock Fabric and Ulta, and everyone felt a lot better.
And then it was time for them to go. So I dropped them off at the airport, we said our quick goodbyes, and it was over.
I couldn’t believe how fast the weekend zoomed by. I had been daydreaming for a year about entertaining all these women at my house, and in a flash it was over.
I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends.
Let’s do it again next month, shall we?
Love you girls.

:cry
I miss you girls so much. It hurts. And makes me cry out to baby Jesus.
Drooling over your new header and I got sucked into your archives. Reading this post again totally has me tearing up. I miss you all SO MUCH! I can’t wait to see you in just a few weeks, Bethy! :sob
